Paul George aims to spend the offseason getting to know his new teammates in Philadelphia. The former Clippers veteran had just signed with the 76ers, forming the team’s “Big Three”: him, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey.
Since Embiid is in Paris for the Olympics, George invited Maxey to his ‘Podcast P’ instead. The nine-time NBA All-Star had shown his skills as an interviewee. The two discussed things, with the latter even revealing the difference in height between him and his parents. The former then busted out a joke out of it.
“Milkman! Milkman situation right here,” said George in his podcast.
Tyrese Maxey: “My parents are small… 5’7, 5’8.”

Tyrese Maxey’s parents are way shorter than their son. His height is 6’2 feet, while according to him, his parents are around 5’6 to 5’8. George then called it a “milkman situation,” referring to the same joke that NBA legend Michael Jordan gave back then. The height difference was confusing, leading to George doubting that Maxey’s height is six feet and above.

Maxey and George discussed many things further in their podcast session. It was hilarious, with Tyrese Maxey even asking the 76ers media team why they posted on PG scoring while he was defending. As a result, his enthusiasm for being with George during the team’s press conference diminished.
Paul George’s signing with the Philadelphia 76ers is a massive turning point in his career. With the formation of a new Big Three, the Sixers would emerge as one of the key teams in the Eastern Conference. It could also be the solution to the Sixers’ 41-year championship drought.
The 76ers also faced another humiliating playoff run in the last season, as in previous years. They went seventh at the end of the regular season, only to lose against the second-place Knicks in the playoffs’ first round. Meanwhile, George’s former team, the LA Clippers, also lost in the first round against the Dallas Mavericks.

Paul George’s entrance to the Sixers is a huge success
So far, the Philadelphia 76ers are having a good offseason. The fact that they had managed to get Paul George will significantly enhance the team as they prepare for the upcoming NBA Cup on October 22. The Sixers also acquired Eric Gordon, Andre Drummond, Kelly Oubre Jr., and more, which will reinforce the remaining roster.
In the past season, George broke his career records in average field goals, 3PTs, and free throws. As the new season unfolds, he might reach these records again and, possibly, win his first championship.
