There are few more compelling narratives in recent history than the Ben Simmons saga with the Philadelphia 76ers a couple of years ago. This was when the former Rookie of the Year literally forced himself out of the team by any and all means necessary.
As it turns out, this included being a bit of a jerk to his then-teammates.
Philadelphia 76ers: Georges Niang Gets Real on Ben Simmons Beef

One of those former teammates was Georges Niang, who now plies his trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers. In a recent appearance on the Road Trippin’ Show, Niang revealed how excited he was to play alongside Simmons when the former first arrived in Philadelphia.
That all went down the drain when Simmons decided that he wasn’t going to play. Things took a turn for the worse when the former Sixers star acted out on his teammates.
“The Ben Simmons thing, that pissed me off,” Niang said. “… He was walking around the facility, you’d be like, ‘What’s up man?’ Because they were like, ‘Try to welcome him back,’ and he’d just nod. And that’s when I was like, ‘F**k this dude.’”

Niang seems like a pretty nice dude, which speaks volumes of how his teammates must have felt about Simmons during his entire Sixers saga.
The good news is that Simmons has now moved on and he’s in a better place with the Brooklyn Nets. Surely, his Brooklyn teammates don’t feel this way about him now. Right?
