Despite already being up there in the years, six-time All-Star Kyle Lowry, who spent last season with the Philadelphia 76ers, still emerged as a sought-after name in NBA free agency.
Lowry officially took himself off the market on Thursday night after he finally made his decision on his future.
Philadelphia 76ers News: Kyle Lowry Returning to Philly
As it turns out, Lowry isn’t going anywhere. The 38-year-old has decided to run it back with the Sixers for at least another year.
NBA guru Shams Charania of The Athletic broke the news via X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday night:
“Free agent guard Kyle Lowry has agreed to a deal to return to the Philadelphia 76ers, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium,” Shams repoted.
Lowry himself also took to Instagram to share a hype video that confirms his return to Philly:

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski has also reported that Lowry has agreed to a one-year deal with the Sixers. The other details of the extension, including how much the 6-foot point guard will earn, have yet to be disclosed.
Lowry played 23 games for the Sixers last term after signing with the team as a free agent mid-season. During that span, the one-time NBA champ produced averages of 8.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in 28.4 minutes per game.
Now that he’s agreed to return for another year, Lowry will resume his role as the 76ers’ primary backup behind Tyrese Maxey.
