Uncertainty surrounds Arizona basketball as the Phoenix Suns try to figure out how to continue from their disastrous regular season.
Having Kevin Durant and Devin Booker on the same roster wasn’t enough, as the two failed to compensate for a severely underperforming supporting cast and a head coach who didn’t maximize the talents he had on the roster.

Mat Ishbia and the rest of the hierarchy need solutions to keep Phoenix competitive in a tough Western Conference. They’re searching for a new head coach, and the front office might look completely different by the time the 2025 preseason begins.
The roster isn’t safe from any major movement, either. Many believe that Kevin Durant is on his way out as he continues his quest to win one more ring outside the ones he won with the Golden State Warriors.
However, the team is also looking for interested teams that would like to get Bradley Beal. The guard was the biggest disappointment on the roster this season, and having another franchise take over his massive wages would help the Suns complete their rebuild much sooner.
Rumor suggests the Phoenix Suns could trade Bradley Beal to the Milwaukee Bucks to speed up their rebuild

The biggest priority for Phoenix is to get Beal out of the squad and find a replacement player who can take his place. However, it’s hard to ship off a player with his kind of contract in the current salary market.
Fortunately for the Suns, the Milwaukee Bucks might be willing to take on Beal’s contract if it means having to part with Damian Lillard. Beal has previously said that he wants to play with Giannis Antetokounmpo in Milwaukee, and Beal might be a better fit than Dame ever was.
While Dame will be out for much of the season, it will at least allow the Suns to have more flexibility with their roster. Beal’s contract will run until 2027, and getting out of his contract will allow the team to find better pieces to build their team around.
Moreover, the financial situation of the two franchises gives this trade a lot of sense, as reported by Valley of the Suns’ Luke Duffy:
It also just so happens that in trading Khris Middleton – ironically to the Wizards – at the deadline, the Bucks are now under the second cap. Meaning that could trade Lillard straight up for Beal. Why would the Bucks want to do this? It gets them away from a player who will be out for a year, while Beal could actually have a role that suits him next to Antetokounmpo.
It will be intriguing to see Beal play with the Greek Freak, but even this out for the Suns comes with a huge caveat. Many believe Giannis will want out of Milwaukee in the offseason, so the Bucks have to assure Beal that they will keep Antetokounmpo before he repeals his no-trade clause.
