On Wednesday, the Phoenix Suns suffered a 111-104 loss against the Houston Rockets. During the second quarter, an altercation between two veteran big men ensued on the court. Mason Plumlee got tangled up with Steven Adams as they both wanted to go after the defensive rebound. However, it got too physical, ending in a squabble.
The centers were in each other’s faces, not backing down from the challenge, following the made shot from Jalen Green. Plumlee was trying to get out of Adams’ grasp, but the Rockets center didn’t budge. Eventually, this led to the two of them falling on the floor, trying to get the upper hand in the situation. Officials, their teammates and coaches had to get them separated.

After the two were separated, they were given double technical fouls and ejected from the game.

After the game, All-Star Devin Booker was asked about his thoughts on whether his teammate deserved to be ejected from the game.
“Nah. Obviously I’m biased, but I feel like Steven tried to pick him up and slam him and Mason happened to just be on top of him,” Booker said.

Plumlee gave an explanation to the media following the game.
“We just got tied up,” Plumlee said. “He had been going after the boards doing what he does so I just met him with physicality.
“He goes for every rebound and he does it whether it’s dirty or not. I just felt like they were being more physical than us. I just made a point to hit him on the glass.”

The Phoenix Suns have had a rough season as they remain in the 11th spot in the Western Conference with a 30-36 record. Over the past 10 games, the team had a 2-8 record.
A former NBA player wants to see Kevin Durant not in a superteam after his Phoenix Suns stint

This summer, there have been rumors that the Phoenix Suns may deal Kevin Durant. According to observers, Durant is in his last season with the Suns after being taken by surprise by the administration. When the 15-time All-Star’s tenure in Phoenix comes to a close, former NBA star Lou Williams has a request for him.
Williams doesn’t want to see KD playing for another superteam. According to him, he thinks the two-time champion would excel playing for a team with a young roster.
“It’s going to be the same conversations, same critiques, and criticism every time they lose a game or they don’t go on a run that we expect them to go on. It’s going to be the end of the world, you don’t want to end your career like that,” Williams said (43:41).
“Go somewhere where they’re up and coming,” he continued. “You’ve got some young stars that can do their thing and you can add to that.”
