The Phoenix Suns are hanging on to their position in the play-in tournament. Since only a couple of games are left in the season, every game is a must-win for them to salvage a postseason run in the competition.
The team’s stars have been doing everything to secure their ticket to the big dance. Devin Booker put on a scoring clinic against the Chicago Bulls, and the rest of the team stepped up to help the team start a small win streak that improves their chances of making the postseason.

Kevin Durant is also doing his part in pushing Phoenix to a postseason appearance. While rumors about his poor relationship with Mike Budenholzer persist, his most recent outing against the best team in the Eastern Conference shows that he’s zeroed in on helping his squad win as many games as possible.
Kevin Durant’s 42 points help the Suns push past the Cleveland Cavaliers

KD was nigh unstoppable for the Suns when they faced off against the Cleveland Cavaliers. His incredible stat line of 42 points, six rebounds, eight assists, and one block was more than enough to help push Phoenix past the Cavs, 112-123.
His 42 points proved vital as no one on the Phoenix roster managed to put up as strong a performance as he was. Booker had a poor shooting night, shooting seven for seventeen on the floor for 17 points. However, his 10 dimes more than made up for it. Three more of their teammates scored in double digits.
Meanwhile, Mitchell has a horrible night for the Eastern Conference leaders. He only made two of his eighteen shot attempts, ending the night at a paltry seven points. Darius Garland, De’Andre Hunter, and Evan Mobley carried the scoring load for the Cavs, scoring 18, 17, and 16 points respectively.
Will the Phoenix Suns make the play-in tournament?

Phoenix are on a three-game win streak after their stunning win over the Cavaliers, so it’s possible for them to secure a spot in the postseason.
However, their schedule for the remainder of the season may thwart their plans. They will face the Boston Celtics, the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Houston Rockets in the next ten days alone. Other notable matchups include the Knicks, Warriors, and the Thunder.
The Suns can possibly make a postseason run if they manage to win at least half of those games, but fans shouldn’t hold their breath.
