Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant has been a staple in the NBA 2K video game over the years. The one-time NBA MVP has been among the highest-ranked players in the game and was featured on the cover several times.
As a long-time fan of NBA 2K, Kevin Durant shared his thoughts on the newly released NBA 2K25 on his Boardroom podcast. In the episode, he said he felt he was being disrespected for his “low” overall rating of 94 this year, his lowest since NBA 2K17.
“I’m a 94? That’s crazy. I’m sick of that s**t. I’ma have to get on somebody’s a** about that,” Durant said when he learned he was the ninth-best overall player in this year’s edition.
Kevin Durant is coming off a season where he averaged 27.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.2 blocks while shooting 52.3 percent from the field and 41.3 percent from three-point range in 75 regular season games.
The two-time NBA champion was given a 96 overall rating in NBA 2K24, tied for the second-highest ranking alongside Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, LeBron James, and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker and Bradley Beal’s NBA 2K25 ratings
Phoenix Suns guards Devin Booker and Bradley Beal didn’t make it to the NBA 2K25’s Top 10, given their overall rankings of 93 and 85, respectively, having fallen one point from last year’s edition.
In 2023-24, Devin Booker averaged 27.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 6.9 assists on 49.2 percent shooting from the field in 68 regular season games, while Bradley Beal averaged 18.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists on 51.3 percent shooting from the field in 53 regular season games.
The Phoenix Suns will aim to do better than their first-round exit last season after the Minnesota Timberwolves eliminated them in four games.
