The duo of the Phoenix Suns Devin Booker and Kevin Durant aren’t huge fans of the new format of the NBA All-Star Game. The league revealed a new format for the yearly custom, one that will involve four clubs.
According to the league, three teams will include All-Star players. TNT analysts Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith will form the teams. WNBA legend Candace Parker will captain the fourth team, the Rising Stars Challenge champion.
On Wednesday, Booker was asked what he thought of the modifications the association made to the mid-season showcase. The four-time All-Star isn’t a fan of the changes and agrees with his teammate, Durant.
“I’m more into the nostalgia,” Booker said. “I agree with Kev. I like East vs. West. Go to your own team’’s jersey, I like the old jerseys.”
Suns insider Duane Rankin brought up the dwindling competitive in the yearly tradition. He told Booker that most stars are concerned of getting injured in the game, which is why they haven’t increased how they’ve competed in the prestigious game.
“It’s tough, it’s a tough part of the season. Usually outside an All-Star break and right after is home stretch where you’re gearing up. I’d say most guys are even going into the game or probably dealing with something but it’s tough. That’s an important part of our NBA tradition, it’s always been a highlighted weekend, things have just changed and evolved.”

The 2025 NBA All-Star Game will be in San Francisco, at the Chase Center on Feb. 16. Phoenix Suns fans hope to see both Booker and Durant participate in this season’s festivities.
Pheonix Suns owner unveiled cheap concession prices
Phoenix Suns owner Mat Ishbia unveiled an interesting price drop on concessions for the rest of the 2024-25 NBA season. On Wednesday, the Suns showed off their “value meal” prices inside the Footprint Center. Fans can now afford cheap game snacks after all of the items in the new value meal of the Suns are now priced at $2 each.
Ishbia addressed this financial move on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
“Winning starts with our fans. When I walk the concourse at games there aren’t food options for families who don’t want to spend a lot of money. That needs to change, so today we’re rolling out our $2 value menu for all home @Suns games,” Ishbia posted on social media.
