Denver Nuggets point guard Russell Westbrook sent out a huge shoutout to rapper Kendrick Lamar as the latter brought home multiple awards from the recent 2025 Grammy Awards, particularly for his hit single “Not Like Us.”
Following the rapper’s success and the awards received for his song, Russell Westbrook took to his Instagram page and shared the photo of Lamar holding his five Grammy awards that he all won in one go, and Westbrook tagged him in the story.
Kendrick Lamar had a remarkable night at the 2025 Grammy Awards, winning a total of five awards for his hit track “Not Like Us.” Lamar brought home Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, and Best Music Video.
Lamar dedicated his wins to the city of Los Angeles, acknowledging the support he has received from his hometown throughout his career. His success at the Grammys also comes just before he is set to headline the Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans.

“Not Like Us” was a diss track aimed at fellow rapper Drake, which fueled further the ongoing feud between the two artists. Drake eventually answered back not with a song, but with a lawsuit against his record label, Universal Music Group, alleging that they promoted false and defamatory statements about him in the song.
Russell Westbrook, in a previous statement, touched on his thoughts on being part of Lamr’s “Not Like Us” performance in a concert, saying that “it means a lot,” and that he is “grateful to be able to experience this.” Other NBA stars such as DeMar DeRozan also went to the stage that night to join Lamar in his performance.
Russell Westbrook Injury Status Update: Out Without Timeline
The Denver Nuggets announced on Monday that their shooting guard Peyton Watson will be out of the game for at least a month due to a right knee injury. Following that, Nuggets head coach Michael Malone also announced that Russell Westbrook is also expected to miss time with a right hamstring strain. According to Malone, there’s no set timeline for the veteran point guard’s return.

Rusell Westbrook sustained his hamstring injury during a game against the Philadelphia 76ers, where he was ruled out for the rest of the game. He only made 4 points for the game and left the game after 50 seconds into the fourth quarter after playing for 25 minutes

So far this season, Russell Westbrook is averaging 13 points per game, 5.1 rebounds, and 6.4 assists.
