Rutgers Men’s Basketball had a big win over Northwestern with a score of 79-72.
The big story of the night was the shear dominance of Ace Bailey, the potential number two pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Bailey wreaked havoc with a stat line of 37 points and 6 rebounds. The star has been averaging 20.7 points and 7.8 rebounds per game over the 2024-25 season.
Is He Number One Material?
The debate between Duke’s Cooper Flagg and Ace Bailey being drafted number one in the NBA Draft is pretty much over.
Flagg has ascended into levels that reach undisputed first overall pick status. His ability to potentially turn an NBA franchise immediately is something to consider.
This isn’t a slight to Ace Bailey, though. Bailey is absolutely number one pick material, just in a different draft year.
This is one of those 1A and 1B situations. Bailey and Flagg are very close in terms of skill set, but Flagg has the higher upside due to his all around play style.
The Show
Bailey is a huge reason why Rutgers Basketball has been back on the map. Along with Dylan Harper, Rutgers has been front page news once again.
Rutgers unfortunately is in thirteenth place in the Big Ten Conference. Bailey must lead the way to get the Scarlet Knights a shot at any glory.
The future top-two draft pick has been on fire lately, and the Big Ten will see if he can keep it up.
