Sacramento Kings forward DeMar DeRozan became the 30th player in NBA history and the sixth active player (alongside LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden) to breach the 24,000-point threshold during his team’s 118-101 win against the Utah Jazz yesterday.

DeRozan reached the scoring milestone with his first free throw at the 8:28 mark of the second period. The six-time NBA All-Star finished the game with 19 points, six rebounds, eight assists, and two steals on 8-for-14 shooting from the field.

Seven Sacramento Kings scored double-digit points. Keegan Murray led with 26 points, while Zach LaVine, Jonas Valanciunas, Malik Monk, Domantas Sabonis, and Keon Ellis added 22, 15, 13, 12, and 11 points.
Sacramento Kings aim to go up in the Western Conference standings
The Sacramento Kings improved to a 30-28 record after winning their last two games. However, they are 10th in the ultra-tough Western Conference.

After the Utah Jazz match, the Sacramento Kings will head to Texas to face the Houston Rockets on Saturday and the Dallas Mavericks on Monday.
Fortunately for the team, they don’t have fresh new injuries and Zach LaVine has regained his scoring groove, scoring at least 22 points in six of his first nine appearances for Sacramento.
