Sacramento Kings news: DeMar DeRozan spent the nine years of his career with the Toronto Raptors. During that time, the six-time All-Star firmly established himself as one of the greatest players to ever don a Raptors uniform.
Throughout his time in Toronto, DeRozan also formed a bond with Canada’s son, Drake, who recently had an all-out war of words with Kendrick Lamar. This is exactly why fans were left stunned by DeRozan’s appearance in the latter’s Drake diss track, Not Like Us.
Sacramento Kings News: DeMar DeRozan Speaks Out on Kendrick Lamar Relationship
DeRozan has nothing but love for Drake. As a matter of fact, when asked in a recent interview, the three-time All-NBA swingman made it clear that he has no issue with the Kings playing Drizzy songs during games.
DeRozan also revealed, however, that his loyalty will always be with Kendrick:
“Kendrick (is) a friend of mine. He’s family,” DeRozan said. “… We’re from the same city. We grew up damn near the same neighborhood. It’s always been there. It haven’t always been publicized but that’s basically family.”

As they always say, blood is thicker than water.
It’s not that DeRozan is taking sides in the high-profile beef between these two rap superstars. However, if he were asked to choose, there’s no doubt as to which team DeRozan will pick.
After all, the fact that the new Kings star made a cameo on Lamar’s savage diss track against Drizzy is already a clear statement in itself.
