OG San Antonio Spurs supporters may no longer have to go to the stores and buy the jersey of their new acquisition, Chris Paul, who joined the team on a one-year deal recently.

If you have a jersey of Brandon Paul, who played for the San Antonio Spurs once upon a time, you’re likely good for next season since he shares the same jersey number and last name with Chris Paul.
“Great news for all Spurs fans who kept their Brandon Paul jerseys,” posted Steve Helwick on X (formerly known as Twitter).

“BP3” quote-tweeted Helwick’s X post with a laughing emoji and replied: “The only thing worst than being trolled online is being trolled online by people with blue check marks that work at like Menards 😂”
In his lone season with the San Antonio Spurs in 2017-18, Brandon Paul played sporadically for the team, averaging 2.3 points and 1.1 rebounds in 9.0 minutes per game in 64 regular-season games (two starts). The 33-year-old guard now plays for Budućnost VOLI in Montenegro.
San Antonio Spurs got their floor general in Chris Paul
Chris Paul is approaching his 40s but can still contribute well to an NBA team. Last season, he played a bench role for the Golden State Warriors, averaging career-lows of 9.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 1.2 steals per game on 44.1 percent shooting from the field in 58 regular-season games (18 starts).

Paul was waived by the Golden State Warriors since the team couldn’t find a trade partner for him, and now the 38-year-old floor general will get to play with Victor Wembanyama, the reigning NBA Rookie of the Year.
The San Antonio Spurs aren’t expected to win many games (again) next season. But with the arrival of Chris Paul, they are banking on him to help unlock Victor Wembanyama’s full potential.
