People know that San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama is a towering figure. At 7-4, he’s taller than 99.1 percent of the human population. (I may be wrong with the estimation, but you get the idea.) Wembanyama is so tall that he easily dwarfed is Team France teammates during a recent group photo amid their preparation for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics.

Rudy Gobert of the Minnesota Timberwolves is listed at 7-1 (or-7-0, depending on where you look). Evan Fournier, who most recently suited up in the NBA for the Detroit Pistons, stands 6-6. Both men, however, were clearly way shorter than Wembanyama.
His height is far from the only thing that is blowing people’s minds away about Wembanyama. It’s also how he is able to do all the stuff he does on the court despite his size. He’s not the traditional back-to-the-basket big man. Wembanyama can seemingly do it all on the court, able to step out in the perimeter and shoot threes, handle the ball, and make tough finishes at the basket off the dribble.
Defensively, he’s basically a monster no one would dream of challenging. He is a big reason why Team France is expected to be a force to reckon with in the Paris Games.
During his first season in the NBA, Wembanyama averaged 21.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 3.6 blocks per contest.

“I want Wemby standing next to Yao Ming to confirm his true height now”
“Is it possible he is an inch or two taller since the end of the season? 🤯”
“Vic seems to be a little nearer to the camera but that looks at least 4 inches on Rudy.”
