Scotty Pippen Jr. is not only a talented basketball player, but also a piano player. In a recent appearance on the ‘Sloane Knows’ show, Scottie Pippen and Larsa Pippen’s eldest son, discussed a number of topics related to his game and also his personal life. He also went on to mention that he knows how to play the piano when asked about his hidden talents.
Apparently, the Memphis Grizzlies point guard was forced to take piano lessons by his mother, Larsa Pippen. Scottie Pippen and Larsa Pippen got married in 1997 and have four children together. However, their relationship soon soured and they finally got divorced in 2021. Apart from Scotty Pippen Jr., Scottie Pippen and Larsa Pippen have Preston, Justin and Sophia, who is the youngest of the four kids.
“I could play the piano. My mom forced me to have like piano lessons.” Scotty Pippen Jr. said to Sloane Weinstein.
Scotty Pippen Jr. is currently playing for the Memphis Grizzlies from the previous NBA season. Before that, he played for the Los Angeles Lakers for a single season. Apart from the NBA, the 24-year-old has also played for the G-League for the South Bay Lakers. In his college basketball days, Scotty Pippen Jr. played for the Vanderbilt Commodores from 2019 to 2022 and then entered the NBA draft where he was not picked up by any team.
Scotty Pippen Jr. And Grizzlies To Take On Utah Jazz Next
In other news, Scotty Pippen Jr. and the rest of the Memphis Grizzlies will be locking horns with the Utah Jazz in the next game to continue the NBA regular season. The Grizzlies are currently ranked fourth in the Western Conference with 41 wins on the season and 24 defeats.
The Memphis Grizzlies are coming here after meeting the Phoenix Suns and winning with a close score of 120-118. Against the Suns, Memphis’ Ja Morant etched an impressive 29 points for the team, grabbing four rebounds and assisting 12 times. While Cam Spencer put up 16 points for the team, GG Jackson II and Jay Huff each matched 14 points for Grizzlies. Scotty Pippen Jr. put up 13 points for the team in the winning effort.
After meeting the Utah Jazz, the Memphis Grizzlies will be meeting the Cleveland Cavaliers in the next matchup. In their previous meeting with the Jazz, the Grizzlies won the game with a final score of 125-103.
