Serena Williams turned heads at her seventh Met Gala appearance, stunning onlookers with a dazzling ensemble. The tennis legend’s striking look drew admiration from Inside the NBA hosts Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal, who admired her outfit during Tuesday’s episode.

Williams wore a pale blue gown with an off-shoulder decolletage partnered with a long, shimmering blue skirt. A long, light blue cape, accompanied by luxury brand Moncler’s puffer, complemented the stunning gown, adding an ethereal touch to the ensemble.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion’s striking ensemble resulted from a collaboration between her, fashion editor Edward Enninful, and Moncler, culminating in a custom Moncler x EE72 gown.

NBA on TNT shared Barkley and O’Neal’s rating of the outfits of some of the Met Gala attendees on Instagram. When they saw Serena Williams’ outfit, the former commended and rated it with a perfect 10/10.

“Serena Williams, man, she looks great,” Barkley said. “That looks like one of those modern movie stars from back in the 50s, 60s, or 70s. You look great, Serena.”

Barkley also gave perfect scores to figures like Spike Lee, Janelle Monae, Stevie Wonder, and Jalen Hurts. Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton and Russell Wilson had 9, while Colin Kaepernick and Andre 3000 had 8.

Met Gala’s exhibition this year was titled “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” encouraging attendees to delve into Black history and identity through dandyism. The Monday theme was “Tailored for You”.

Serena Williams had multiple posts showcasing her Met Gala outfit. Her photo shoot, where she captioned, “For every dandy, there’s a gown,” had 147k likes, while her photo with Enninful at the event had 46k likes. She also shared a short clip of her entering the Gala in New York.

Serena Williams named part of the 2025 USA Olympic Hall of Fame

Serena Williams won four Olympic gold medals for the United States throughout her 27-year tennis career. On Tuesday, the US Olympic Committee named Williams and fellow Olympians will lead the Hall of Fame Class of 2025 and will be honored in a ceremony on July 12.

Along with Williams are gymnast Gabby Douglas, athlete Allyson Felix, beach volleyball’s Kerri Walsh Jennings, and skier Bode Miller. Seven more players and two more teams completed the class of 2025.

Serena Williams, one of the greatest players in tennis, won the doubles title with her sister, Venus, three times in Sydney 2000, Beijing 2008, and London 2012. She won the women’s singles title in 2012.
