Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is having a successful season with the Oklahoma City Thunder, as they hold the second-best record in the league. Fans are impressed with their success on court, and they are viewed as favorites to win the championship. SGA plays a vital role in his team, and his work ethic is well-recognized.
However, the Thunder star recently left several NBA fans confused with his cryptic post. SGA was probably trying to share a message with his fans, but not many were able to understand what he meant. Some believe that he took a jibe at a particular player.
Shai on his 3-point shot:
“The work ethic – shooting shots I’m comfortable with. Ultimately, trusting the work through the misses and the makes, knowing that if I take a shot I’m comfortable shooting at the right time in the game and it’s a good shot, you live with the result.”

The Thunder star took to social media to share a series of images with his followers. Sports media outlet “Ball is Life” shared a screenshot of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s recent post.
“We got the same 24, but you boys are not like me. I don’t back down when they turn up the heat, that’s not likely. I’m in the gym. You’re in Da Club, & that’s nightly. Don’t push me when I’m close to the edge. BC that’s frightening. I was patiently waiting for my time, and now it might be,” SGA wrote.

It’s hard to decipher what the NBA star meant with his post. It’s clear that he wasn’t pleased with something, and that could be directed to a player who shares the same number, 24.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s Teammate Says He Will Not Get Over His Average
Despite being one of the elite scorers in the league, SGA receives some criticism from time to time. Surprisingly, his teammate took a slight jibe at him. Luguentz Dort had something to say about SGA’s scoring ability.
“I can’t go into details like that,” Dort said. “I don’t know who’s gonna read this. … But yeah, he won’t get over his average (against me). I mean that, for real.”

While Dort is confident about himself, there’s no denying the fact that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is a top scorer. Dort might have his views on his teammate but OKC coach compared SGA with other NBA superstars.
“It’s like LeBron (James) in his prime, Giannis (Antetokounmpo), the speed of (Ja) Morant, the speed and power of (Russell) Westbrook; he’s a great athlete, but he’s not an overpowering athlete, where those guys are. And yet, he gets to the same places on the floor as they do. And to me, that says it all about the skill,” Mark Daigneault said.

It’s safe to say that OKC is at the top of their conference because of SGA. The point guard has been incredible this season and will continue to play a crucial role for the team.
