Allegations were thrown towards Skip Bayless, with a massive lawsuit from a former Fox Sports 1 employee alleging that he offered $1.5 million for sex. For the hosts of the PBD Podcast, such a notion should be enough to raise alarms of suspicion.
In one of the recent episodes of the PBD Podcast, entrepreneur and host Patrick Bet-Davis expressed his honest opinion on the case surrounding Skip Bayless right now. For him, the story of the lawsuit is something he finds hard to believe.
“So this person writes a lawsuit like this one claiming that Skip offered her $1.5 million,” Bet-David said. “I don’t know who in the right mind believes that, I don’t know who would believe that for $1.5 million. It’s not like this is a person who has that kind of money. [Do] you think he’s going to give 10% [of his net worth]?”
Bet-David then cited information from the internet saying that Skip Bayless has a net worth of $17 million. With all of these considered, PBD cannot understand how someone would believe an accusation as such is realistic.
PBD’s co-host Adam Sosnick echoes the sentiment, calling the idea of a $1.5 million offer “a literal joke.”
“If you’re going to pay for anything like this, these are one thousand [dollar] transactions,” he said. “To pay $1.5 million? This is a settlement for whatever alleged sexual misconduct you did. To offer to pay $1.5 million, in my humble opinion, that’s a literal joke.”
“If [Skip Bayless] actually wanted to get and have to pay for something, if this is something that he was so desperate that he needed to do [it], a couple [of] thousand bucks [would] to do the trick,” Sosnick added.
Stephen A. Smith: “The Skip Bayless I Know…”
Analyst Stephen A. Smith, who was a former co-host to Skip Bayless, also expressed his take on the issue of Skip allegedly offering a huge amount of money for sex. For Stephen A., this does not sound like the Skip he knows.
“I don’t know what happened but just like I said, I’ve known Skip for just as long I can’t imagine it,” Stephen A. said. “I can’t imagine it especially when they brought up the and one a half million dollars. The Skip Bayless I know has a hard time giving away $15—he’s one of the cheapest people I know.”

Skip Bayless, despite releasing a new video following the allegations breaking out, has yet to directly address the issues thrown his way.
