Sports analyst and broadcaster Skip Bayless was recently slapped with serious sexual allegations, as a 42-page lawsuit filed accused him—as well as other prominent names from Fox Sports 1—of sexual harassment and workplace misconduct. However, some people think that the allegations sound a bit too farfetched, and could be about things that were twisted out of context.
In one of the episodes of “Fearless,” Jason Whitlock gave his honest opinion on the allegations Skip Bayless is facing. As he sees it, the $1.5 million “offer” could be “said in jest,” and a joke that was repositioned differently when a lawyer wrote about it in the lawsuit.
Former NFL defensive end Marcellus Wiley, who joined Whitlock as a guest for the episode, agreed with him and gave his own honest take on the matter.
“I never looked at Skip [Bayless] as someone who was up there trying to mack on everybody in the building,” he said. “I never saw him have those types of relationships. So like you, whenever I saw Skip with any person, I was like probably he’s trying to help them out like he’s trying to give them another rung on the ladder to climb up.”
“With that said, despite seeing Skip interact with women in the workplace, it never occurred to Wiley that he was someone who was the aggressive type and would seek out something more than a professional workplace relationship.”
“You know it’s good to know other people but we know the crowd that was trying to holler and go hard in the paint, and I never thought of Skip in that way.”
“So the one and a half million still lands with me like at most it was said in jest,” he added. “Because if it was said for real and Noushin is really like yo, this is something that one and a half million dollars, we don’t have a lawsuit. If Skip Bayless is starting a conversation off with one and a half million dollars, you can get somewhere with that, we don’t have to go to this place. So I think it was said with a smirk and a smile.”

The lawsuit was filed by former FS1 hairstylist Noushin Faraji, who alleged sexual advances from Skip Bayless and FS1 executive vice president Charlie Dixon.
