Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham went on to their social media to express her honest take on her favorite basketball shoes and why she loves the line. She also engaged more fan questions, even those pertaining to her private life.
In a series of stories on her Instagram profile, Sophie Cunningham revealed that she loves her pair of Damian Lillard shoes.
“@adidas selects are comfy but I love me some @damianlillard 🔥. Comfy and light. I don’t like a clunky/heavy shoe. I want mine to feel like a regular tennis shoe” wrote the Fever guard.
From the same series of stories, Cunningham also addressed one fan question asking why she has not gotten married yet.
“I’ve received this question A LOT… I think it’s cause I’m a rat and an embarrassment to society,” Cunningham wrote. “Also, this was all ice and doesn’t do my skill any justice. But back to being not married, it’ll happen hopefully before I die CAUSE WON’T HE DO IT 🤣🤣.”
The Dame 8s are part of Damian Lillard‘s signature shoe line with adidas. These shoes are designed to support Lillard’s explosive playstyle, featuring lightweight construction and flexible cushioning.

When it comes to Sophie Cunningham’s love life, the Indiana Fever guard has kept her relationship details private and has not hinted on social media about dating anyone. She has not shared photos with a significant other on social media platforms like Instagram or X since May 2020, when she was last seen with her former boyfriend, Jakob Neidig.
Sophie Cunningham Leaps to The Indiana Fever
The Indiana Fever, in a trade deal between the Phoenix Mercury, Dallas Wings, and Connecticut Sun, acquired guard Sophie Cunningham. The franchise is expected to strategically utilize Cunningham and other new recruits to build a strong team around Caitlin Clark. Cunningham, known for her sharpshooting and defensive skills, can provide valuable support as a perimeter threat.

Her ability to stretch the floor with her three-point shooting will create more space for Clark to operate and facilitate the offense. Additionally, Cunningham’s experience and versatility make her a reliable option both as a starter and off the bench.
With the new additions, the Fever can implement a balanced and dynamic offensive strategy. Clark, as the primary playmaker, can utilize her exceptional passing skills to involve her teammates and create scoring opportunities.

During her last season with the Phoenix Mercury in 2024, Sophie Cunningham averaged 8.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per game.
