Even at 39 years old, San Antonio Spurs veteran point guard Chris Paul can still get things done on the court. The future Basketball Hall of Famer proved that again on Thursday when he helped San Antonio nail its second win in a row by scoring 13 points and dishing out 10 assists on 30 minutes of action in a 126-118 victory over the Utah Jazz.
He made most of his points when the Spurs needed those the most. Paul poured in 11 of his points in the fourth quarter where he also grabbed three rebounds and dropped three dimes.
Harrison Barnes sounds off on Chris Paul’s longevity and effectiveness in the clutch

Another Spurs vet, Harrison Barnes, spoke highly of Paul after the game, particularly about his ability to make things happen down the stretch.
“I think he’s one of the greatest closures in this game that we have still playing, and moments like that, when you get to see it, I think how close you just appreciate it. After 20 years, you’ll still be able to do that. It’s impressive.” – Harrison Barnes on Chris Paul helping Spurs get the win v Utah

Barnes had a big performance himself. In fact, he led the Spurs with 25 points along with 10 boards and two steals.
Apart from helping the San Antonio on the floor, Paul is also playing the role of a mentor for his much younger teammates, especially the likes of Tre Jones and Stephon Castle, who play the same position that he does.
On the season, Paul, who signed a one-year deal worth $10.46 million with San Antonio back in the summer, is averaging 10.8 points and 8.6 assists per game while shooting 46.5 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from deep.
