Stephen A. Smith and his intent to run for president of the United States is “the most fascinating” thing that has happened in American politics, at least from the perspective of Jason Whitlock.
In one of the recent episodes of his program “Fearless,” Jason Whitlock and guest Steve Kim talked about the idea of Stephen A. Smith jumping from being a sports analyst to potentially becoming the president of the United States.
“He has no idea, he couldn’t spot any of these places on a map,” Whitlock said,, saying that Smith has no idea about social and political issues. “There’s not an ounce of hyperbole in what I’m saying, I’m not trying to be snarky. Stephen A. Smith’s bid for the presidency is the most fascinating thing I’ve seen in my 35-year history of involvement in the sports media.
When Kim pointed out Arnold Schwarzenegger, Whitlock remarked: “he went from basic bodybuilder to governor is that what you’re saying?”
In light of his commentary, Whitlock admitted that the case of Schwarzenegger, who became the governor of California when “all he really had on his resume was, ‘I was a bodybuilder,’” could be a good case comparison on teh case of Stephen A. Smith.

Stephen A. Smith Gets Honest on Potential 2028 Bid: “I Have No Choice
In an interview with ABC News, analyst Stephen A. Smith justified his intent to run for president as simply him heeding the call for him to take his chance on the office.
“I have no choice, because I’ve had elected officials, and I’m not going to give their names, elected officials coming up to me,” he said. “I’ve had folks who are pundits come up to me. I’ve had folks that got a lot of money, billionaires and others that have talked to me about exploratory committees and things of that nature. I’m not a politician. I’ve never had a desire to be a politician.”

With that said, the analyst admitted the “reality” of what was happening around him.
“Here’s the reality: People, literally people, have walked up to me, including my own pastor, for crying out loud, who has said to me, ‘You don’t know what God has planned for you. At least show the respect to the people who believe in you, who respect you, who believe that you can make a difference in this country, to leave the door open for any possibilities some to three years down the line.’ And that’s what I’ve decided to do.”

Stephen A. Smith has openly stated that he dislikes the idea of being a politician, describing them as “professional beggars” and emphasizing that he enjoys his current life.
