Analyst and sports broadcaster Stephen A. Smith recently debunked circulating news about him involving a video of him supposedly cussing Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant.
In a post on X, Stephen A. Smith addressed circulating rumors about him being in a video where he supposedly threw profanity at Kevin Durant. Smith debunked this and claimed that the video was not him, but rather an AI-generated fake one.
“We are living in dangerous times,” he said. “There is some b.s. floating around on Instagram with me talking about [Kevin Durant]—using profanity, cussing him out, etc.”
“For the record, that is a LIE. It is A.I Generated or something. I [am] just letting everyone know ahead of time…..THAT WAS NOT ME! No truth to it. Just so everyone knows.
“Complete Fabrication,” he described the rumor.

Stephen A. Smith has been a consistent critic of Kevin Durant over the years, particularly focusing on Durant’s leadership abilities and decision-making. Smith has often questioned Durant’s capacity to inspire and lead his teams to success, despite acknowledging his immense talent as a player.
This criticism dates back to Durant’s time with the Oklahoma City Thunder, where Smith argued that Durant struggled to elevate his team during crucial moments.

In recent years, Smith’s critiques have extended to Durant’s stints with the Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns. He has pointed out the challenges Durant faced in galvanizing his teammates and questioned his ability to lead teams deep into the playoffs as the central figure.
Stephen A. Smith vs Lebron James Feud Gets Honest Take From ESPN Colleague
In a recent interview with OutKick, ESPN analyst and commentator Michael Wilbon addressed the ongoing feud between his fellow analyst Stephen A. Smith and Los Angeles Lakers veteran star LeBron James.
“I hate all of this,” Wilbon said. “It’s too much. I want to sit down with all of these athletes and discuss all of this. LeBron is too important. He has too much credibility, which he earned, and stature, which he earned, to worry about what is said about him.”
“This whole LeBron and Stephen A. stuff, I just can’t. Enough. Stop it. I’m too old for it. I am too old to consume it.”

The feud between LeBron James and Stephen A. Smith escalated dramatically when LeBron confronted Smith courtside during a Lakers game earlier in March. The confrontation stemmed from Smith’s earlier comments about LeBron’s son, Bronny James, wher he suggested that Bronny’s NBA career was largely due to his father’s influence.
