Stephen A. Smith, who was once a vocal supporter of the Democratic Party, had the climate around his recent statement change direction. From someone who openly expressed he voted for Kamala Harris, he has now become the guy who calls out the Democrats for their “lies,” roots for Donald Trump and challenges the Democratic Party to learn its lesson from the past elections.
In one of his recent videos, Stephen A. gave a strong message to both of the political parties in the United States: the Democrats and the Republicans. For the Democratic Party, the ESPN analyst had one challenge: for them to acknowledge the reason why they lost the election.
“Allow me to get into the Democratic Party by simply asking a question: are you ready to entertain why you lost?” he asked. “Are you ready to stop debating amongst yourselves back and forth, ‘did we go too far’? Are you ready to concede that indeed you went too damn far with the identity politics, with woke culture, with cancel culture?”
Stephen A. then went on to explain the importance of the party realizing these things, if they want to move forward and hope to have a better political future.
“You would need to, because right now you look like a party that’s lost,” he said, still addressing the party. “I know there’s a bunch of liberals out there that are looking at somebody like me and others saying we don’t know what the hell we’re talking about. You know what we do know? You lost convincingly. We do know that you are now disempowered. If you’re the Democratic Party, are you willing to accept that?”
Stephen A. Smith Explains Why He Did Not Vote for Trump
In an interview with FOX News, Stephen A. Smith was asked about the possibility of him voting for Trump should the electrons get a repeat today, to which he answered with “quite probably.”
In his video, Stephen A. touched on why he did not vote for Trump and went to vote Kamala Harris instead. As it turns out, it was about his fear of Trump being a divisive figure, more than anything else
“He was somebody that would create a bigger divide rather than galvanize folks and bring folks together,” Stephen A. Smith said. “I was incredibly worried leading up to the election that the race was going to be so tight that either he’d lose and claim he won as he did in 2020 and create all kinds of chaos that would serve to further divide this nation.”
