ESPN analyst and sports broadcaster Stephen A. Smith gets an honest comment from a longtime “enemy” Jason Whitlock, as the latter discusses the web of opinions and conflict surrounding Stephen A., college football, and his home network.
In one of the recent episodes of “Fearless,” Jason Whitlock gave his take on the ongoing beef between the parties of Stephen A. Smith and ESPN, and the people from another ESPN program reporting for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
“Stephen A Smith is just a grifter pretending that he’s down with the entire BLM, Antifa, LGBTQ, alphabet Mafia whole deal,” he said about the ESPN host, after criticizing him over the issue with Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit. “He’s just pretending and trust me, they know it. But right now because they’re so hot and bothered by Pat McAfee, they want to push more of their agenda into college game day. They want to disrupt that. so there’s this uneasy alliance supporting Stephen A Smith.”
With this, Whitlock labeled the feud between the two parties as a “racial war” happening inside the network.

He said: “This is the race war going on at ESPN. It’s a byproduct of their bad leadership at ESPN. It’s a byproduct of their diversity equity and inclusion initiative at ESPN.”

In the heat of the exchange between the parties of Stephen A. Smith and Shannon Sharpe from ESPN versus Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit, Sharpe issues a “warning” to the camp of Fowler and Herbstreit, citing his employment to the network as the only thing holding him black for a more heated statement he could have given out.
“I’m gonna be a good teammate,” Sharpe said. “I’m gonna let it slide. Everybody’s at ESPN. Because had you not taken the route you’ve taken, I would’ve lit their a** up. If we’re going to be on the same team, if we’re gonna work for the same network, don’t do that.”

He added: “Kirk, Chris Fowler, I promise you, if you ever mention any platform that I’m on again talking about ‘I wonder what they’re going to say as negativity,’ I promise you, ESPN ain’t got enough bosses to keep me off y’all for what I’m going to say. Don’t play with me.”
