Stephen A. Smith is a “sports bloviator” who is bent on trying to please everybody, and he ends up not pleasing anybody. At least, this is what analyst and sports journalist Steve Kim thinks of the idea of him being a presidential candidate.
In one of the recent episodes of his program “Fearless,” Jason Whitlock had analyst Steve Kim as his guest, and Kim gave his honest take on how he views Stephen A. Smith as a presidential candidate.
“With Stephen A. Smith, you’re literally going to get a guy that’s going to bloviate, promise, [and[ make bold declarations and then invariably he’s going to look [and] check his Twitter and a certain demographic is going to be very angry at him.”
“And then he’s going to come back [a] few days later [and say], ‘well let me just tell you, I didn’t say, I didn’t mean it like that’ and I’m like okay Stephen A., you’re you’re trying to please everybody, which really means invariably you please nobody.”

Stephen A Smith is a Reflection of The Democratic Party, Says Whitlock
In the same episode of his program, Jason Whitlock likened Stephen A. Smith’s run for president to former Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris.
“I think Stephen A.’s making it clear, ‘I have no platform, I have no agenda, I’m going to do whatever my handlers tell me to do on every position,’ and he’s not someone with his own instincts,” Whitlock said.
“Obama believes in healthcare and changing the healthcare system, there was something he was trying to stand for and accomplish. With Stephen A., I don’t know, he’s like a male version of Kamala Harris because he’s just a reflection of the whole Democrat Party.”

Stephen A. Smith has openly criticized Kamala Harris, particularly regarding her rise to the Democratic nomination in 2024. He admitted that he regret voting for her, even calling himself a “damn fool” for it.
Smith questioned how Harris, who dropped out of the 2020 Democratic primary before reaching the Iowa caucus, became the party’s nominee without a traditional primary process. He argued that her lack of voter resonance during the 2020 primaries made her an unfavorable candidate in the eyes of many Americans.

Stephen A. Smith also criticized the Democratic Party’s decision to nominate Harris, suggesting that it was more strategic than democratic, and pointed out the party’s failure to connect with the electorate.
