Stephen A. Smith got a strong statement of support from fellow sports analyst Skip Bayless, as the latter took time on his new video to proclaim victory for Smith’s potential POTUS bid.
In one of his recent videos, Skip Bayless talked about the hot issue of Stephen A. Smith declaring his intention to run for US president in 2028.
“I am not qualified to break down Stephen A’s political qualifications or his beliefs or his platforms or whatever all that stuff is,” Skip Bayless said. “All I can guarantee you is that he’s knowledgeable, he’s driven, he’s very fair-minded, and he is on fire with making this country as great as he could ever make it.”
“When I had Stephen A on this show a few weeks back he made the point that he makes too much money at ESPN to run out the door and dive into politics yet what I do know about running for president is that it takes way more money than even Stephen A makes so I’m hoping those Capitol Hill power brokers encouraging him to run for president have [deep pockets.]”
He added: “It will not shock me if Stephen A. does run for president, it would not shock me if Stephen A. got elected president.”

Stephen A. Smith Gets Honest on Potential Presidential Bid: “I Have No Choice”
In an interview with ABC News, ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith got honest about the reality behind his declaration of internet to run for president. According to him, with the number of people rallying behind him, he is left without a choice.
“I have no choice, because I’ve had elected officials, and I’m not going to give their names, elected officials coming up to me,” he said. “I’ve had folks who are pundits come up to me. I’ve had folks that got a lot of money, billionaires, and others that have talked to me about exploratory committees and things of that nature. I’m not a politician. I’ve never had a desire to be a politician.”
“At least show the respect to the people who believe in you, who respect you, who believe that you can make a difference in this country, to leave the door open for any possibilities some to three years down the line.”
“And that’s what I’ve decided to do.”

In the past, Stephen A. Smith has reiterated that he is “not a politician,” and has even criticized the life and career of being a politician.
