Is Stephen A. Smith really putting his name up for the presidential race in 2028? Regardless of the analyst’s final decision, the possibility of him diving into politics and straight to the highest office in the country gets scrutinized by fellow analysts and entrepreneurs alike.
In one of the recent episodes of the PDB Podcast, American actor and Air Force veteran Vincent Oshana shared his honest thoughts on the topic of Stephen A. Smith potentially running for US president in 2028.
“I just don’t know how genuine all these things are,” Oshana said. “Because at the end of the day, these four years Trump is going to be gone, what are you going to do different? Are they going to come in and reverse everything that he’s done that everything that he did?
Oshana highlighted his preference towards Smith, even over California Governor Gavin Newsom, who has been rumored to be gunning for the presidential race as well.
“What are they going to do when they come in because I’m telling you right now, I I like Stephen A. Smith, I trust him way more than I trust Gavin [Newsom], but those are the type of people once they come in, what are you going to do to reverse the country, especially on the way to a brighter future?”

Stephen A. Smith Makes One Thing About Presidential Run Clear
In a recent episode of his YouTube show, Stephen A. Smith clarified his recent statement about him running for president in the 2028 elections.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I’d love to sit up here and tell you that I didn’t mean what I said,” he said. “But I do, and I think the time has arrived to let you all know. This is not something that I plan, contrary to people bloating out there on their podcasts and stuff like that I’m no political aficionado.”
“Something needs to be said and when I say what I said people can dismiss it all they want to, [because] I have no desire to be a politician. I’m sincere with that.”

Smith also cited his contract with ESPN as one of the main reasons why he won’t be dipping his toes in politics just yet.
“I just signed a multi-year contract extension with ESPN that will pay me exponentially more than being a politician would ever pay me. I don’t need politics but the fact is that our country is in a very bad spot.”
