Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors are about to play a game many have circled on their calendars months ago. After beating the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday, 127-116, to cap a five-game road trip, the Warriors are set to face the Dallas Mavericks at Chase Center next.
It is not going to be just any other regular game in November, though. For one, it will mark former Warriors superstar Klay Thompson‘s first game in the Bay Area since his split in the offseason with Golden State.
Stephen Curry reacts to a Klay Thompson question after Golden State Warriors’ win over the Oklahoma City Thunder
After the Thunder game, Curry was asked by former Warriors big man Festus Ezeli about Thompson’s looming Bay Area return,
“Don’t do that to me, Fez!” Curry said when asked by his former teammate about how the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player is feeling about “having to play against Klay Thompson.”
“I’m not ready for this man. It’s going to be a lot to look forward to and I’m excited to see him as a friend. But I’m trying to conserve all of my mental energy for Tuesday because it’s going to be a lot.

Based on Curry’s reaction, emotions will run high on Tuesday when the Mavericks arrive looking to snap a two-game losing skid.
Thompson played several seasons with the Warriors and won four NBA championships and became a five-time All-Star during his time in the Bay Area.
