Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors pulled off a huge statement win on Wednesday. Against the reigning NBA champions Boston Celtics at TD Garden, Curry and company dealt Boston’s second loss of the season with a resounding 118-112 victory.
The Warriors, who extended their undefeated run to five games, improved to 7-1 overall this season.
To beat the Celtics, the Dubs knew they had to play at their best, which explains a lot of Golden State head coach Steve Kerr’s eruption after Curry turned the ball over in the second quarter.
After securing the ball following a Celtics miss, Curry immediately fired a pass downcourt intended for Kyle Anderson which Derrick White intercepted. After Jayson Tatum hit a 3-pointer on the other end of the floor, a timeout was called and Kerr could be seen still heated over Curry’s blunder.

Curry, however, didn’t seem to mind catching heat from Kerr.
“I want to be coached just like everybody else,” the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player said in the locker room after the game, per Warriors on NBCS.
Kerr also shared his thoughts on Curry’s coachability despite the player’s lofty status.
“The beauty of Steph is that I can yell at him,” Kerr told reporters during the postgame press conference.

Curry led the Dubs with 27 points on 8-for-17 shooting from the field and 4-for-9 from behind the arc to go with nine assists and seven rebounds.
Up next for the Dubs is another tough test, as they are scheduled to face the only undefeated team left this season on Friday when they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
