Steve Kerr, Golden State Warriors coach, has apparently lost his childhood home in the Palisades fire. Thankfully, his mother, Ann Kerr, who lived in the house, has been evacuated and is currently staying with friends. The home which was purchased in 1969 was not the only childhood home that Steve Kerr lived in. His late father, Malcolm H. Kerr, worked in the Middle East, and Steve also spent a considerable amount of his childhood there.
The news was reported by Ron Kroichick from the San Francisco Chronicle, who incidentally interviewed Ann Kerr and showcased her beautiful home as part of a feature on her life. Steve Kerr is not the only celebrity whose house was destroyed in the raging wildfires which have killed five people as of now. According to recent reports, Paris Hilton, Mandy Moore, Billy Crystal and many more have lost their homes.
Meanwhile, Steve Kerr and the Golden State Warriors are gearing up to take on the Detroit Pistons in the next matchup. In the most recent game, the Warriors lost pathetically 114-98 to the Miami Heat, making it their second defeat in a row. In that game, Golden State’s Stephen Curry chalked up 31 points to lead the team on the scoreboard, grabbing seven rebounds.
Trayce Jackson-Davis put up 19 points in that game with seven boards, while Buddy Hield contributed another 11 points with eight boards for the team. Draymond Green managed ten boards, the highest for the Warriors, while also leading the team in terms of assists, with ten helpers to his name.
Steve Kerr Points Out Problems Amid Warriors’ Abysmal Performances
There is no doubt that the Golden State Warriors are struggling as of late. At the beginning of the season, the Warriors brought out plenty of hope to their fans and analysts with great performances. However, in recent times, the team’s numbers have dipped, with many analysts scratching their heads, trying to figure out what’s wrong.
After the Miami Heat game, Coach Kerr spoke about these issues and mentioned that there is an issue of confidence among the team members, mainly their superstar, Steph Curry. According to Kerr, Curry is struggling to carry the rest of the team, who seem to be heavily relying on him all the time.
However, Kerr has not come out to point out any strategies that he and Curry might be using to solve the issue from now on. Next up, the Warriors will face the Detroit Pistons, and fans will just have to wait and watch what Kerr and Curry will undertake in their team efforts.
