Many Suns news articles surrounding Devin Booker over the season haven’t been nice. The team’s most recent loss against the New Orleans Pelicans had Book making worrying statements that made fans especially concerned about his long-term future with the team.
While it’s unlikely that Book will leave the roster in the offseason without Phoenix demanding a king’s ransom, he and the rest of the roster are focused on finishing the season strongly.
However, not everything’s gloomy for Booker. The star guard debuted the latest colorway in his signature shoe with Nike, and it grabbed the attention of many hoops fans and sneakerheads.
Devin Booker debuts his latest Book 1 colorway against the Pelicans

ArizonaSports.com’s David Veenstra reported that the star guard wore the latest colorway of his signature shoe. He also wrote about the inspiration behind the latest colorway:
In the second game of a back-to-back against the Pelicans, the Suns star donned another famous colorway, this time in “Black-Spruce” blocking that paid homage to the 1992 Air Mowabb Plus.
The Nike ACG (all conditions gear) Air Mowabb originally released in 1991 as a hiking shoe in the “Rattan Birch” colorway. “Twine” and “Trails End Brown” colorways followed before Nike updated the shoe the next year with the Air Mowabb Plus coming in three more colorways, including “Gravity Purple,” “Spruce” and “White/Black.”
It’s a great-looking shoe that probably propelled Booker to a strong performance against the Pelicans in the second night of their back-to-back. He finished the 108-125 win with a solid stat line of 17 points, nine assists, and one steal.
Bol Bol shines for the Suns vs. Pelicans

Speaking of players who aren’t getting much positive Suns news coverage, Bol Bol had a terrific game as the other forward in the win.
While he isn’t as terrific of a player as Wemby, his fantastic showing against New Orleans showed everyone that he can brute-force his way into a long and successful NBA career.
He led the Suns to the dominant win with 25 points on 75% shooting. He added value to his high-scoring night with three boards, two assists, and two rejections.
What grabbed everyone’s attention was his three-point shooting, though. His 62.5% clip from beyond the arc was impressive, even by today’s standards.
The stat line adds to an impressive string of performances. He’s getting more minutes under Mike Budenholzer, and the Oregon product is not letting the opportunity pass him by.
