During a recent appearance on the All The Smoke’s Open Run with Rachel Nichols Team USA managing director Grant Hill said that the door is open for Boston Celtics star forward Jaylen Brown to become part of the roster in the 2028 LA Olympics.
“I’m confident he and I will sit down at some point and talk about it and get to some level of understanding,” shared Hill. “Look, he’ll be a candidate if he wants in ’28”
Grant Hill says he’d still consider Jaylen Brown for the 2028 Olympics team:
“I've tried to do this the right way… I'm confident he and I will sit down at some point and talk about it… He'll be a candidate if he wants in 2028.”

However, Hill appears to have left fans perplexed over his statement, with many believing that the 2024 Paris Olympics was the perfect one for Brown since he’s at the top of his basketball prowess. Once the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics comes around, Brown will already be 31. That is still a good basketball age, but Brown likely would have already been past his absolute peak by then.
“Could’ve had him in his prime and at the top of his game, but you chose politics instead,” said X user @19_loading.
“So nice of him to CONSIDER a top 10 player AND FINALS MVP,” a sarcastic @jeremykamali commented.
