Joel Embiid can’t be denied of a hilarious celebration after he helped Team USA score a huge victory over Serbia on Thursday. Following the Americans’ 95-91 win against Nikola Jokic and company, Embiid stayed a little longer on the court, as he was the last Team USA player to leave it.
But before he disappeared from the sight of the jeering crowd, he gave them the last thing they probably even wanted to see, as Embiid repeatedly did D-Generation’s iconic crotch chop celebration.

Embiid earned it. Against Serbia, he put on his best performance in a Team USA jersey, as he scored 19 points on 8/11 shooting from the field with four rebounds and two assists in 27 minutes.
The Philadelphia 76ers big man and former NBA Most Valuable Player perfectly complemented the play of superstar teammates Stephen Curry and LeBron James. Curry had 36 points to lead all scorers, while James racked up a triple-double of 16 points, 12 boards, and 10 dimes.
Embiid had been criticized for his subpar play with Team USA prior to his breakout performance against Serbia. Team USA now hopes that he will be able to sustain his form as it moves a win away from bringing home the gold.
The Americans are set to face France on Saturday in the final game of the tournament, so Embiid can expect a much more hostile crowd, with Le Bleus looking to pull off a huge upset.
