Team USA news: Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo turned 27 on Thursday. Unfortunately for him, the 6-foot-9 big man was unable to celebrate his special day with his family. This is because of the fact that Adebayo is in London for the final leg of the national team’s preparations for the upcoming Olympics.
Team USA, however, made sure to make his birthday count with a special LeBron James-led surprise for the Heat forward/center.
Team USA News: LeBron James Leads Happy Birthday Song for Bam Adebayo
One of the first orders of business as soon as the team landed in the United Kingdom was to make sure to commemorate Adebayo’s birthday. The squad prepared a special cake for the three-time All-Star which they accompanied with a beautiful rendition of the Happy Birthday song.
Naturally, it was LeBron and Stephen Curry who led the choir.

Adebayo was so surprised that he forgot to blow out the candles before slicing the cake. The best part has to be LeBron conducting the rest of the squad as they all wished Bam a happy birthday — in song form, of course.

Adebayo took to X, formerly Twitter, to share his reaction to the lovely surprise. He gave a special shoutout to LeBron and Curry, the two leaders of the squad, for spearheading the surprise, and of course, for sharing their unbridled singing talent for everyone to see.
