Over the years, Steve Kerr and Stephen Curry have constantly made magic on the court by winning four NBA championships for the Golden State Warriors. Turns out, the former has plans for the All-Star guard’s Team USA stint for the 2024 Olympics.
The upcoming Olympics in Paris are poised to be a historic event for basketball fans, as three of the NBA’s greatest players – Curry, Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James, and Phoenix Suns’ Kevin Durant – will compete together for the first time on the Olympic stage. Despite their illustrious careers, this unique opportunity has never materialized until now, making their team-up a highly anticipated moment.

James, the four-time NBA champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist, will have the chance to add another chapter to his storied legacy. Curry, the three-time NBA champion and two-time MVP, will make his Olympic debut, showcasing his unparalleled three-point shooting prowess. Durant, a three-time Olympic gold medalist, will bring his scoring versatility and experience to the team.
The combination of these three basketball legends on the same Team USA squad promises to deliver an electrifying display of talent, leadership, and chemistry. Their complementary playing styles and collective basketball IQ will undoubtedly elevate the team’s performance and increase their chances of securing another gold medal. Fans can expect a thrilling showcase of the sport’s highest level as these superstars come together to represent their country on the global stage.
Team USA Head Coach Reveals How Stephen Curry Will Be Used For the Olympics

After one of Team USA’s practices, Kerr faced the media and answered questions from reporters. In a video shared by ClutchPoints on X, the Warriors head coach dropped some hints on how Curry will be used in Paris.
“He’s a brilliant player, but the comfort level [Steph Curry and I] have together. We’ll run some of the actions we run in Golden State for him.”

Even though he’s 35 years old, Curry is still an elite player on offense, especially when it comes to outside shooting. Last season, the All-Star guard averaged 26.4 points on 40 percent shooting from deep, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game.

With Kerr coaching Team USA, expect Curry to be in familiar territory when it comes to offense. Add the likes of James, Durant, and the best NBA players, and there’s no reason the Golden State Warriors star won’t dominate on the court.
