The country was tuned into the Super Bowl yesterday while I was focused on finding my favorite basketball shoes to share. Adidas was the brand of the day with everyone in the NBA stunting out in their kicks.
Standing in fifth for Sunday’s kicks is the point guard for the Milwaukee Bucks, Damian Lillard. In a pair of Adidas Dame 9 ‘Solar Red,‘ he scored 43 points against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Signature shoes from Damian Lillard were designed for outstanding lockdown, with effortless support for dynamic moves just like Dame. Dame 9 Low Shoes are also sold in cloud white, core black, and silver pebble.
Placing number four is Scottie Barnes, a small forward for the Toronto Raptors, against the Houston Rockets, Barnes wore a pair of Nike Kyrie 7 ‘Soundwave.’
A Kyrie Irving signature shoe, inspired by his love for music includes a contrasting dark-colored mesh with a mix of bright blue hues on the textile. The extra-durable rubber outsole features splashes of color, intended to capture the energy of live music.
Adidas in the Top Three
Eric Gordon, a shooting guard for the Philadelphia 76ers, comes in third for Sunday’s shoes in a pair of Adidas Adizero Select 2.0.
Designed for men and women, these bright orange performance-oriented shoes are ideal for any level basketball player.
Also a shooting guard for the Philadelphia 76ers, Kelly Oubre Jr. comes in second. Scoring 10 points against the Milwaukee Bucks in a pair of Converse All-Star BB Trilliant CX Fever Dream.
Released to the public last February these shoes were made for quick, responsive movement with an extra bounce provided by the Nike Air Zoom unit. All-Star BB Shift CX Gingerbread is the same designed shoe but with a gingerbread icing-inspired colorway.
Taking number one for Sunday’s kicks is Jalen Green, a shooting guard for the Houston Rockets. In a pair of Adidas Adizero Select 3.0, he scored 18 points against the Toronto Raptors.
This player-exclusive shoe debuted Sunday and there is no mention of a release. Adidas Basketball has worked with Green by making and selling the BYW Select Jalen Green PE basketball shoes that celebrate his Filipino roots with colors from the Philippines flag.
