The Phoenix Suns are determined to acquire Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat ahead of the Feb. 6 NBA Trade Deadline. The Suns are reportedly looking at multiple scenarios which they can use to trade for the disgruntled star. ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Phoenix is working on multiple teams to land the six-time All-Star.
Phoenix remains at the top of the list in the league on which team will land Butler. The star player also named the team as one of his preferred trade destinations when his request was made known to the public.

“From everything I’m told, they are working on three-, four-, and five-team trade scenarios to figure out a pathway for Jimmy Butler,” Charania reported.

One of the ways the trade could come to fruition is if The Valley trades All-Star guard Bradley Beal. However, his no-trade clause prevents the organization from doing it. Additionally, the Heat have no interest in acquiring the three-time All-Star and his $50.2 million contract.
NBA Insider Jake Fischer also reported that Beal is not interested in waiving his no-trade clause.
“The unrelenting word continues to be that Beal has no desire to bless a trade pretty much anywhere and prefers to remain in Phoenix, where his family has been settling after finally leaving the nation’s capital,” Fischer reported on the latest entry of the Stein Line.

Butler remains suspended by the Heat after he stormed off a team shootaround. This came when the star found out about his demotion and that the team had chosen Haywood Highsmith as the starter over himself.
Kevin Durant and Devin Booker are untouchables for the Suns

Trade talks involving the Suns have started to accelerate in recent weeks. Numerous firms have reached out to players like Kevin Durant. NBA Insider Brett Siegel reports that the Golden State Warriors have reached out to Phoenix to trade for the 15-time All-Star.
Nonetheless, the franchise has stated unequivocally that neither Durant nor Devin Booker will be going. On Sunday, Siegel confirmed Phoenix’s intentions regarding which players they are unwilling to let go of.
“And the Suns made it very clear that KD isn’t available, nor is Devin Booker,” the insider reported on X (formerly Twitter).

Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro also reported that there have been a good number of teams looking to make a deal with Phoenix for KD.
“Yes the Warriors have called on KD, they have been aggressive to see if they could pry him away. That is true. Several teams have called the Suns on KD but Phoenix is still focused on a Butler/Beal deal OR other smaller deals if they Miami won’t budge on Jimmy,” said Gambadoro.
