Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers broke the hearts of the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night when they took the much-needed home-game win, 115-114.
With 3.9 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Haliburton was able to sink a three-pointer to tie the game and draw a foul on Giannis Antetokounmpo in the process. He also sank the additional free throw, completing an improbable four-point play and taking a one-point lead. The Bucks failed to score in the last three remaining seconds, giving the Pacers the victory.
In the post-game interview, Tyrese Haliburton—being a WWE fan—revealed that he was wearing D-Generation X-themed shoes inspired by WWE legend and Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. He also revealed why he did not celebrate his game-winning shot with Triple H’s signature “DX chop.”
“Do you know what DX is? D-Generation X? You know the signal?” Haliburton told a reporter. “I was gonna hit it tonight, but I don’t want the fine.”

A reporter told Haliburton that he should have done the move, to which he replied, “Yeah, I should’ve! I missed the moment right there. It would’ve been worth the 25 for sure. Yeah, that would’ve been fire.”
The “25” refers to the $25,000 fine Haliburton would have had to pay if he did the celebratory gesture.
.@TripleH: NBA players aren’t hitting the DX Chop anymore because of the $25k fine.
Surely something can be arranged with the @TheNBPA.

Tyrese Haliburton had a different idea for the final play vs. Bucks
Tyrese Haliburton successfully completed a four-point play to win the game for the Indiana Pacers on Monday night. However, the star guard admitted he would have gone for a different final play if their coaches agreed to his suggestion.

In a postgame interview, Haliburton revealed that he wanted to run the final play a little differently.
“I tried to convince Coach to let me switch sides, and they were like, ‘No, run it the regular way,’” Haliburton recalled. “Double A (Aaron Nesmith) and Myles (Turner) did a great job of causing confusion in the middle of the court, and I just kind of came off, got open. Andrew (Nembhard) found me and, you know, just made the shot.”

Haliburton finished the game with 14 points and 10 assists. His game-winner over Giannis Antetokounmpo was just one of the two three-pointers he sank out of six attempts that night.
The Pacers will visit the Philadelphia 76ers at Wells Fargo Center on Friday.
