Time seems to be running out for the surprisingly productive partnership between the Utah Jazz and Lauri Markkanen.
Only a few predicted the Finnisher to improve by leaps and bounds to become one of the must-watch players in the NBA. His sudden rise into stardom with the Jazz was unexpected, and the team was ill-equipped to provide him with the right pieces to help him win with the squad.

Due to this, it’s understandable if the team is open to any trade talks involving the 2023 MIP. The 27-year-old has constantly been on the rumor mill as thee Jazz struggled to keep up with the rest of the league, and it seems like now’s the opportune moment for one of two teams to grab him for themselves.
REPORT: Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings made trade offers for Utah Jazz star Lauri Markkanen

Sportsnaut’s Matt Johnson reported that the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings are eager to bring Lauri Markkanen over to their teams and are willing to part with valuable pieces to snag him.
In his report, the Warriors are reportedly looking to give away a good number of their picks in exchange for Markkanen. However, he also noted that the Jazz are more interested in getting a young player who can contribute right away like Jonathan Kuminga.
Aside from the Warriors, Johnson also reported that the Kings, San Antonio Spurs, and Miami Heat are especially interested in bringing the Arizona alum over to their respective squads.
Lauri Markkanen will make an instant impact on whichever team he ends up on

Markkanen’s value at offense is the biggest reason why so many teams are eager to get the seven-foot forward.
Many questioned if his MIP season was a fluke, but he was quick to dispel these questions with his performance last season. He ended his second campaign with the Jazz with averages of 23.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game.
Even more impressive is how his efficiency remained sky-high at 48.0% FG, 39.9% 3FG, and 89.9% FT. He’s a three-level scorer who can hurt teams on almost every area of the floor.
It will be interesting to see where Markkanen ends up by the time preseason starts in earnest.
