The Washington Wizards snapped their five-game losing streak with a 119-114 victory against the Philadelphia 76ers last Tuesday night.

Alex Sarr led Washington with 24 points, seven rebounds, two blocks, and four three-pointers on 10-for-17 shooting from the field. Jordan Poole, Justin Champagnie, Tristan Vukcevic, and Jaylen Martin added 18, 18, 17, and 12 points.
According to StatMamba, Sarr, 19, is the youngest center in NBA history to have a 20-point game despite not shooting free throws.

The No. 2 overall pick of last summer’s draft is developing into one of the key players of the Washington Wizards’ young core that also includes Kyshawn George, Carlton Carrington, Bilal Coulibaly, Justin Champagnie, Jordan Poole, and Corey Kispert.
Washington Wizards News: Alex Sarr draws praise from head coach Brian Keefe after stellar performance vs. Philadelphia 76ers
Washington Wizards head coach Brian Keefe is happy with Alex Sarr’s development. Keefe said the Frenchman deserves more credit for his mental toughness since many have written him off after the Summer League.

“He ignores the outside noise. He doesn’t pay attention. He comes in and does his work and gets better. The guys who do that are the ones who become good players in this league. Not surprising,” Keefe said about Sarr via Bijan Todd of Monumental Sports Network.
Because he has been balling recently, Sarr has risen to third in the updated NBA rookie ladder.
