Jordan Poole recently said he is happy with his current situation with the Washington Wizards even if they aren’t winning too many games because they’re rebuilding.

The 25-year-old guard played a crucial role in the Golden State Warriors’ latest championship run in 2022 but was eventually shipped to Washington in 2023 following his viral skirmish with then-teammate Draymond Green.
“I was never a spotlight guy. Never cared for it. I just love to hoop. I love going out there and competing. But I’ve always risen to the occasion on the highest level, but I’ve been there,” Poole said in an interview with Marc J. Spears of Andscape.

“I kind of was there senior year in high school, freshman year of college, sophomore year of college, all of my years in Golden State. It’s cool to have a little bit of a (break) off of it. But honestly, I just like to hoop and then all of the other stuff will come with it. To be honest, my game would do the talking,” he concluded.
Jordan Poole embraces leadership role with the Washington Wizards
Jordan Poole is one of the Washington Wizards’ most tenured players after the team traded Kyle Kuzma to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Khris Middleton.

Poole leads Washington in scoring, averaging 21.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.4 steals on 42.3 percent shooting from the field across 54 starts this year.
The Washington Wizards will likely get another high draft pick this offseason because they have one of the worst records in the league at 13-51.
