For some, watching the WNBA All-Star Game in person is a dream come true just by seeing all the league’s best players fight it out on the court. But for a group of lucky fans, they got to be on the receiving end of an epic surprise by Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark.
The 2024 All-Star Game in Phoenix was a thrilling affair, with Team WNBA pulling off a surprise 117-109 victory over the talented USA Olympic squad. The game featured several standout individual performances, with Arike Ogunbowale stealing the show.

The Dallas Wings star erupted for 34 points in the second half alone, putting on a scoring clinic and cementing her status as a superstar. Ogunbowale’s heroics earned her the MVP award, making her just the fourth player to win the honor multiple times.
Other key contributors for the winning team included Nneka Ogwumike, who scored 14 points, and Caitlin Clark, who dished out 10 assists and recorded 5 steals. Kelsey Mitchell and Allisha Gray provided valuable scoring off the bench, while Angel Reese delighted the hometown fans with a double-double, marking the first time such a feat was done in an All-Star Game.

During the All-Star Weekend itself, fans were given a chance to spending a few moments with Clark. As seen in a series of videos taken by State Farm, the Indiana Fever rookie got to do this in an epic manner.

Over the course of 26 games, Clark has averaged 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 8.2 assists, and 1.5 steals per contest. She is also seen as the leading candidate to win Rookie of the Year over Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese.

With Clark’s increasing pull as one of the league’s most popular players, there’s no chance fans won’t gravitate to her. As seen in the video posted above, the Fever star is only bound to become more popular down the line.
