The All-Star Game is almost upon us and fans are eagerly waiting for the WNBA’s chosen squad to go up against Team USA. However, the uniforms for both teams have drawn mixed reactions from fans online.

Jordan Brand has unveiled the uniforms for the 2024 All-Star Game, which will feature a new format pitting Team WNBA against Team USA. The league’s 20th All-Star Game will take place on July 20 in Phoenix.

The Team WNBA uniforms will have a distinctive look, with players wearing two different sets of jerseys in separate halves of the game. The first-half jerseys will feature a vibrant pink and orange ombré design with “WNBA All-Star” lettering across the chest and the league’s All-Star emblem underneath.

For the second half, the jerseys will replicate the first-half design but in a sleek black colorway, with the faded hues from the first-half jerseys incorporated as an alternate color along the V-neck. These jerseys will also include a special “WNBA All-Star Edition 2024” lettering and 20 stars to commemorate the game’s 20th anniversary.

The shorts for the Team WNBA uniforms will feature the same ombré hues as the first-half jerseys, with a wavy slanted design on the bottom and “AS24” on the front patch. Each player’s jersey will also include a star signifying the number of All-Star appearances they have made.

After the uniform designs were released, fans have flocked to social media to express their take on them. These reactions can be seen in a post by ESPNW‘s Instagram account.

“Why they lay them on the floor like they’re selling them on fb marketplace?” deschatt said.

“How do I buy them,” meiligerety33 asked.

    “These are clean,” donivanwarren79 reacted.

“That gradient jersey so tuff,” sspyder commented.

“This is so stupid I can’t stand it. I’m sorry. Hire better referees. Or train the ones you have – we only need one jersey. Gimmicks are just annoying when the W has as many issues as it has,” green_ghost_media_inc shared.

“They getting things done better in this league cause the trophy’s from years ago made me laugh so hard WNBA is starting to COOK! ” kidfromct posted.

Team USA will be headlined by Las Vegas Aces’ A’ja Wilson and Phoenix Mercury’s Diana Taurasi. On the other hand, their opponents will have Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese.

While the uniform designs have garnered a lot of reactions, it remains to be seen how they’ll look in action. In any case, fans can see these stars rock the jerseys out in a couple of weeks.
