WNBA star Lexie Hull expressed her excitement over a stunning team photo featuring her and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese from the newly formed Unrivaled league. Her playful comment captured the camaraderie and enthusiasm among the players as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Hull embraced a significant opportunity as she prepared to join the newly established Unrivaled basketball league. Following her third season with the Indiana Fever, Hull dedicated her offseason to training, settling into a new home with her boyfriend, and enjoying time with family and friends in Indianapolis. As she transitioned to Miami for the league’s inaugural season, Hull expressed excitement about competing in a fresh environment alongside other elite players.

The Unrivaled league, co-founded by WNBA stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, aims to provide women basketball players a platform to showcase their skills while earning money without having to travel overseas. Hull joined the Rose Basketball Club, teaming up with notable players like Angel Reese, Brittney Sykes, and Chelsea Gray. The league’s structure allowed players to maintain their physical condition and gain valuable experience while respecting WNBA scheduling, set to commence on January 17.

Hull’s background in 3×3 basketball made her an excellent fit for the league. She had already achieved success in this format, winning gold at the 2023 Pan American Games and participating in the USA 3×3 national team’s training camp. Despite previously playing in Athletes Unlimited, Hull felt that Unrivaled offered unique opportunities for growth in women’s basketball, allowing her to remain close to her family while honing her skills.

Just recently, Hull reacted to a team photo with her and Reese in it for their Unrivaled team. This can be seen in an article written by Mike Murillo for Sportskeeda.

Lexie Hull took to the comments section to share her thoughts on the photos, writing: “Look how cuuuuuute.”

As she prepares for the different dynamics of Unrivaled, Hull acknowledged the shift from Olympic 3×3’s halfcourt game to a full-court format. This change emphasized the importance of individual defense, as players needed to rely on their skills more than in traditional five-on-five games. Hull understood that building a strong defensive foundation was crucial for their success as a team.

Hull’s enthusiasm for Unrivaled reflected her commitment to advancing her career while contributing to the sport’s growth. She looks forward to the challenges ahead, knowing that participating in this league would not only enhance her skills but also strengthen her bond with teammates like Reese, further enriching her basketball journey.
