WNBA Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has been under backlash in the past few weeks. Caitlin has claimed she is being targeted by other players around the WNBA in the early part of the WNBA season.
The Indiana Fever star feels during games players on the opposing team being more aggressive towards her on the court and off the court dealing with social media abuse with her race and sexuality. Clark is facing a lot of attention from players such as Angel Reese and also Chicago Sky’s star Chennedy Carter for shoving her to the ground earlier this month.

After all the attention on Caitlin Clark in the past few weeks, Clark has received attention from other high profile athletes. Now she has tennis Legend Serena Williams standing by her and giving her advice from experience with negativity. Williams told Associated Press ” I just love that she tried to stay grounded and that she doesn’t look at social media. She also said ” its important to keep doig what she’s doing.” Serena’s advice was “if people are negative then it’s because they can’t do what you do.”
Indiana Fever Caitlin Clark Handling Negativity Well for a Young Rookie
Caitlin Clark has faced a lot of adversity in your young WNBA career. The season is only a month in through 14 games and she had to face indecent weeks. If Clark can stand her ground and keep playing her game of basketball the negativity will eventually fall. Not one the negative comments but also being left off the Summer Olympics Team USA roster has sparked a lot more attention to Clark. The rookie has a lot to grow and learn from not just from the game but mental health and emotions.
Clark averages 15.6 points, six assists, and 4.9 rebounds per game. The Indiana Fever have struggled in this early part of the season. They are 4-10 and are 10th in the Eastern Conference. They face again the Chicago Sky Sunday in a rematch earlier this season. Hopefully with Clark and also rookie Aliyah Boston can pull another win against the Sky.
