Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics, as expected, demolished the Portland Trail Blazers at home on Sunday, 124-107, to secure their 62nd win of the 2023-24 NBA regular season. It was also a special day for Brown, as he was finally able to join an exclusive franchise club, becoming just the 15th player in Boston Celtics history to score at least 10,000 points.
Jaylen Brown Makes History, Leads Boston Celtics to Win vs. Trail Blazers

Brown paced the Celtics with 26 points on 10/17 shooting from the field and added four rebounds, two assists, a block, and a steal in 30 minutes of floor duty.
“The type of guy that he is, the hard work that he puts in and the growth that he’s shown this year to become a complete player at both ends of the floor, I know he’s happy about that,” Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla said after the game about Green, per the Associated Press (h/t ESPN). “It’s cool to be able to coach guys that get to those type of milestones and be a part of that,” Mazzulla added.

Brown and the Celtics are merely putting the finishing touches on their outstanding regular season. They have already secured the best record in the entire league — and obviously, the top seed in the Eastern Conference — with still four games remaining on their schedule.
The Celtics will next play the Milwaukee Bucks on the road looking to extend their five -game win streak. After that, Boston heads home for a three-game homestand to finish their regular season.
