It’s hard to clown Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic on the basketball court. But fans have free rein to make fun of the Joker for his off-court outfits.
Jokic’s pregame fit of choice for the Nuggets’ Game 1 win against the Los Angeles Lakers at Ball Arena was quite a “Despicable” sight to behold.
Denver Nuggets Star Nikola Jokic Channeled Gru With His Game 1 Outfit
There was no denying that Jokic looked like he was cosplaying Gru from the animated movie franchise “Despicable Me.” He had to be doing it intentionally right? The look was just completely spot-on, which included a thorough scarf wraparound that fully hid Jokic’s neck just like how Gru does it.

Nikola Jokic Was The Villain For Los Angeles Lakers Fans In Game 1
In the Hollywood script for the Lakers’ season, Jokic was indeed the supervillain in the series’ opening act. Jokic had a team-high 32 points on 15/23 shooting to go along with 12 rebounds and 7 assists.
The Joker was always ready to make a big shot or find an open teammate to thwart any Lakers runs once the Nuggets took control of the contest in the second half.

Jokic’s “minions” weren’t too shabby either in Game 1. The four other Nuggets starters scored in double figures, led by Jamal Murray’s 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Aaron Gordon had a near triple double with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists of his own, while Michael Porter Jr. and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope combined to sink 7 three-pointers. There was no stopping the NBA Gru and his crew on Saturday.
