While Blake Griffin reflected on his basketball career, the most thought of thing was thankfulness. On X, he went on to say he was thankful for every single moment whether that be good or bad.
Griffin expressed his being thankful for the fans, his friends, family, teammates, and coaches. He also threw in special acknowledgments to his parents and brother for their “unconditional support and guidance”.
Lastly, he went on to thank his agent, with whom had “been a steadfast voice of reason and my wartime consigliere”.
Since his days in College, his dunks have become his trademark. While looking back on Griffin’s career, one specific moment stuck out. One of his most famous dunks was in a game against the New York Knicks. He went smoothly flying over the Knicks’ center Mozgov.
Griffin’s leaping capabilities are outstanding and are apparent in every game.
Over his many years of playing, he had the crowds roaring for tremendous scoring in addition to his dunking abilities.

Additionally, he demonstrated his talent by becoming a remarkable scorer. In 2010 to 2015, Griffin averaged 21.5 points per game with 9.7 rebounbds and 4.0 assists. With so much success often comes obstacles. Griffin was no stranger to obstacles when they are in the form of injuries.
Griffin ended his retirement announcement with a nice sentiment:
“The game of basketball has given me so much in this life, and I wouldn’t change a thing. Last but certainly not least, here comes the obligatory ‘I’m excited for my next chapter’ part: just kidding, I’m done.”
The NBA will surely miss Blake Griffin’s talent, excitement he brings the crowd and team, and his infamous dunks.
