There was a lot of emotion during Wednesday’s matchup between the Utah Jazz and the Chicago Bulls. In fact, tempers flared during the dying seconds of the contest as John Collins got into it with an opposing coach.
Players on both teams quickly got involved in the scuffle, which resulted in multiple technical fouls for both sides.
Did Utah Jazz Big Man John Collins Choke Bulls Coach?
The incident happened with just 9.3 seconds remaining of an extremely tight game. Jazz guard Collin Sexton was seen exchanging words with the Bulls bench with Collins joining in to aid his teammate. Some shoving occurred, and Collins ended up (seemingly) grabbing one of Chicago’s coaches by the neck:

It appears that Collins may have taken exception to the Bulls coach pushing him away. The Jazz power forward put his hands on the coach, which did not sit well with the Chicago bench.
After assessing the play, the referees slapped Collins with a technical foul, while the Bulls were assessed with two techs on their side.
Bulls Prevail
Cooler heads ultimately prevailed and the two teams were able to return to the court to finish the game. It resulted in Chicago holding on to the win, 119-117.
DeMar DeRozan (29 points, seven assists), Coby White (25 points, seven triples), and Nikola Vucevic (23 points, 12 rebounds) led the way for the Bulls. Collins wasn’t bad himself, finishing with a team-high 25 points and 13 rebounds in the loss.
